Accessing Voice Mail

The first time you access your voicemail, your PIN will be 725382. You can only initialize your voicemail using your primary phone. At this time you will be required to create your own PIN. The PIN number has restrictions as follows:
1. Must change on first login.
2. Cannot use the same PIN as the old PIN.
3. PIN code must be between 6 and 20 digits.
4. PIN code must not have a single digit repeated more than 2 times in a row.
5. PIN code must not be in numeric sequence, such as 1234.
6. PIN code must not include part of your telephone number.

You will also be asked to set up your mailbox and record your name and a greeting. When you have unheard messages, you will be notified by a stutter dial tone when picking up the receiver or by a message waiting indicator light if your telephone has one.

First Time Sign-in
• Change your PIN.
• Recording your recorded name.
• Record your greeting.
The greeting and recorded name are played each time a caller accesses your mailbox to leave a message.

From Your Own Phone:

  • Press the messages button or dial *99. 
  • Enter your voice mail PIN followed by the # key. 
  • If you have new messages, the messages will be identified. 
  • After hearing any new messages, you will be presented with the Voice Mail Main Menu.

From Another Phone:

  • From an external phone, dial 256-638-9005 to access your voice mail. 
  • When prompted, enter your 10-digit telephone number. 
  • When prompted, enter your voice mail PIN followed by the # key.
  • If you have new messages, the messages will be identified. 
  • After hearing any new messages, you will be presented with the Voice Mail Main Menu. The Main Menu options are listed in the far right column.

Forwarding a Message

  • While listening to messages, you can send a copy of a message to another recipient.
  • Press 5 to forward the current message. 
  • Enter the telephone number of the recipient you are forwarding the message to, and then press #. 
  • You will be prompted to record an introduction. If you do not want to record an introduction, press 1.
    After the tone, record your introductory message and press # when finished. 
  • Press # to send immediately. 
  • Press 1 for more delivery options. 
  • When finished choosing the delivery options press # to send your message. You can also press # to send your message without changing any options. 
  • Once the message has been sent, you automatically return to the original message.

Replying to a Message — Dialing the Originator

  • While listening to a message, you can call the person back by pressing 4 and selecting option 1. 
  • This capability will not work if the voice mail system was not able to identify the Caller ID   information when the original voice mail was received or if your phone is configured with call restrictions which prevent you from calling the originator’s number.

Changing Your Voice Mail Password

  • Access your voice mail box. 
  • From the Main Menu, press 4 to change your settings. 
  • Press 3 for security options.
  • Press 1 to change the PIN.

Recording Your Personal Greeting

  • Access your voice mail box. 
  • From the Main Menu, press 3. 
  • To set up a personal greeting, press 1. 
  • To set up a system generated greeting, or to change the recording of your name, press 3.
  • To change the greeting that callers hear when you’re busy, press 5. 
  • If you don’t record a personal greeting, a generic greeting will be played.
