Congratulations to the 2023 FTC Scholarship recipients, Blake Hill and Bryce Luther.

Each student received a $3,000 scholarship from FTC to help them pursue their educational goals. FTC’s scholarship program seeks to identify students who display a combination of academic excellence, participation in student activities, and community involvement. Blake Hill, a graduate of North Sand Mountain High School, and Bryce Luther, a Northeast Alabama Community College student transferring to Auburn University, are the recipients of this year’s scholarships.

Blake Hill

Blake is the son of Dustin and Amanda Hill, of Bryant. He plans to attend Northeast Alabama Community College. He expects to go into nursing, but hasn’t ruled out another role in the medical field. He hopes to use the skills he learns to remain in the area to work. “I am very proud of where I come from and would like to better my community any way I can,” he says.

Bryce Luther

Bryce is the son of Ben and Bambi Luther, of Dawson. When he transfers to Auburn University this fall, he plans to major in civil engineering for its range of career opportunities in fields such as transportation and environmental services. “My ideal career would be to hopefully have the opportunity in one of these fields that may contribute to my local area of DeKalb County or at least North Alabama,” Bryce says.
