The Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative, Inc. For this purpose, a member of the immediate family is a person related to the applicant either by blood (including adoption) or by marriage (in-law) in any of the following capacities: grandparent, parent, spouse, child, grandchild, sister or brother and a person living in the household of an employee as a domestic partner. In addition, the By-Laws of FTC prohibit the hiring of anyone who is closely related to a Member of the Board of Trustees. This prohibition is found in Article IV, Section 3 (c) of the By-Laws of the Cooperative (available at farmerstel.com/legal.
