On June 2, FTC will be performing critical network redundancy maintenance. During the scheduled maintenance window, 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., brief intermittent service interruptions are expected.
Now more than ever, it is essential that FTC provides reliable connectivity and access to our customers. Because things break and unforeseen events do take place, we have evaluated the need to add and test additional redundancy routes to our network.
Network redundancy is a rather simple concept to understand, yet highly important. If a network has a single point of failure and it fails, then the network has nothing to rely on. By adding in a secondary method of access (additional network redundancy), then if the main network connection goes down, it will have a way to connect to additional resources and keep a connection.
Our Network Management Team has worked to devise the most efficient process possible in order to limit any service interruption. Minimizing impact to our customers is of key importance to us. During this maintenance, we will perform extensive testing to make certain that the designed redundancy meets our quality expectations.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we plan to perform these highly important updates to our network infrastructure.
