We are a SMART. RURAL. COMMUNITY.

We are a SMART.
RURAL.
COMMUNITY.

Working smarter, living better.

Smart Rural Communities™ promote the best of both worlds — rural living at its best and world-class broadband infrastructure that we utilize every day for education, health care, work, economic development and other vital services.

FTC earned the distinction as a Smart Rural Community at the NTCA Fall Conference in 2018. The recognition was earned because of the innovative work Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative has done to deploy fiber broadband through the rural communities it serves. This infrastructure has led to economic development, advances in telehealth, greater educational opportunities, improvements in agriculture and much more. No longer is living in a rural community a disadvantage.

SMART RURAL COMMUNITIES ARE SERVED BY PROVEN PROVIDERS WHO:

  • Offer 100 Mbps broadband to 50% or more of service territory

  • Have broadband subscription rates of at least 50%
  • Commit to SRC’s mission of collaborative innovation

FTC is a 100% fiber network offering speeds of 1 Gbps and beyond.
